Manchester United starlet rejects speculation of season-long loan move to Premier League rivals

Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj has taken to social media and responded to speculation linking him with a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer.

Fellow Premier League outfit Sunderland were reportedly leading the race to sign the Belgian international on a season-long loan deal, however, the 20-year-old posted a message on his official Twitter account and appeared to pour cold water over a move to the Stadium of Light.

Januzaj looks to have a tough battle on his hands to force his way into manager Louis van Gaal’s first-team plans this season as he was left out of the squad completely for the opening game of the new campaign against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

With the European Championships on the horizon, Januzaj will need to make more than the seven league starts that he made for the Red Devils last season if he is to make the Belgian squad for the major international tournament next summer.
