Manchester United and Liverpool stars set to join Premier League outfit

Sunderland are close to loan deals for Liverpool star Fabio Borini and Manchester United ace Adnan Januzaj, reports The Guardian.

The Black Cats were beaten 4-2 by Leicester City on the first day of the season, and manager Dick Advocaat clearly has a lot of work to do before the transfer window slams shut. Having only stayed in the Premier League by the skin of their teeth last time round, it will take a monumental effort from the Dutchman to stop them from being dragged in to another relegation fight.

Borini has impressed at the Stadium of Light before, having been on loan there for the 2013-14 campaign. The 24-year-old scored ten goals in 37 appearances in all competitions during the temporary move, and will surely be welcomed back with open arms as a result.

Meanwhile, Januzaj has found himself on the fringes of the Red Devils’ first team squad since the arrival of Louis van Gaal at the club. Despite impressing under David Moyes in the season before, the 20-year-old only made seven starts in the Premier League last time round. With another 11 appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench in the competition, the winger didn’t manage a single goal or assist.
