The Red Devils have upped their bid for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller from £50 million to £60 million according to the Express.
With Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez the only senior strikers in United’s squad, the 25-year-old could be the difference between a title challenge and battling for the top four. Last season he scored 13 goals and ten assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances, and could even better that as the main man at Old Trafford.
If signed, the World Cup winner will also add much needed experience of success at the highest level to United’s squad. With the team returning to the Champions League this could be vital over the next ten months.
