United ready to hijack striker deal.

Manchester United look set to rival Tottenham in the race to sign exciting young West Brom striker Saido Berahino before the end of the summer.

According to the Daily Express, the Red Devils are keen to snap up the £25m-rated attacker, who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season to attract the interest of bigger clubs.

Berahino is known to have been a childhood United fan, which could swing the move in Louis van Gaal’s favour as he searches for a new addition up front to ease the pressure on Wayne Rooney.
