Manchester United transfer target comments on potential Old Trafford switch

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has spoken out about rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United this summer.

The German international and World Cup winner has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the transfer window but, with only days to go until teams are no longer permitted to recruit, looks set to remain in Bavaria.

Despite the rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League, Muller has insisted that there has been no contact between himself and United boss Louis van Gaal.

“Louis Van Gaal hasn’t called me, so I don’t know about any move,” the attacker began, as reported by Goal.

The forward—speaking after scoring twice in his 200th match in the German top flight—also discussed life at Bayern, who overcame Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in front of their own fans.

“I’m a team player,” he continued, when asked why he allowed Arjen Robben to take Bayern’s second penalty in the match.

“Bayern is a shark tank. You have to throw fish to sharks, so there is no problem about the penalty.”

Despite Muller’s comments, a move to United may yet materialise, as the club are still yet to fill the attacking void left following the departures of Robin van Persie and Falcao.
