Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is confident that David De Gea can get get back to his best with the club after his failed move to Real Madrid, reports the Daily Express.

The 24-year-old’s transfer to the Bernabeu failed to go through after the necessary paperwork wasn’t filed in time. Both sides have blamed each other for this, and it is unclear which is actually at fault. Either way, it has apparently left the Spain international ‘devastated’ and in an awkward position ahead of Euro 2016.

The goalkeeper has been left out of the team by van Gaal for their matches so far, with the 63-year-old claiming that his player doesn’t want to play. However, this has been refuted by the stopper’s camp, and the side looks in need of the former Atletico Madrid man.
