Mancheter United ready to sell cultured midfielder to Valencia

Man United are willing to allow Ander Herrera to return to La Liga according to Metro reports.

Clearly such a move would now have to wait until January but even then it’s somewhat surprising the manner in which the Spanish star has fallen out of Louis van Gaal’s first-team plans.

Valencia are keen on the 26-year-old former Athletic Bilbao man and if by the time the January transfer window Herrera’s situation hasn’t improved then a move to the Mestalla becomes all the more plausible.

Ander Herrera had a solid debut season at Man United, scoring eight goals in 22 starts in all competitions, but clearly the summer arrivals of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have impacted on his position in Louis van Gaal’s squad.

The cultured midfielder has started just one of Man United’s four Premier League fixtures and found himself subbed by Marouane Fellaini on that occasion.
