Some surprise Man Utd transfer news has emerged today, with reports revealing that Red Devils defender Marcos Rojo came close to leaving the club in the summer.
According to the Metro, the Argentine international was a player that manager Louis van Gaal would have considered letting go, with Valencia, AS Monaco and Marseille the teams interested.
Rojo started well at Old Trafford before falling out of favour in Van Gaal’s side, with Daley Blind now preferred alongside Chris Smalling in central defence.
