Italian giants sound out Chelsea over possible striker deal

Serie A giants Fiorentina have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea over a possible loan deal for misfiring striker Radamel Falcao in January, according to the Metro.

The Colombian international is currently spending the season on loan at Stamford Bridge from French side Monaco, but the Daily Mirror have suggested that the deal could be terminated early.

Falcao has managed to chalk up just one goal for The Blues so far this term, adding to the lowly four he managed at Manchester United last term (via Metro), and represents a startling fall from grace for a striker that was considered as one of the most feared in the world not too long ago.

And the Metro believes that if the 29-year-old does return to Monaco early, Fiorentina look as though they would be in pole position to land his signature ahead of the likes of Spanish giants Valencia and former club Porto, who have also apparently made enquiries for his services.
