Despite Chelsea’s woes this season, one shining light has been the work done by midfield star Willian.
Often highlighted for his running, vision and hard work, the Brazil international has also stepped up to become the club’s first choice free kick taker this season.
And as the stats below indicate, he’s doing a rather excellent job.
Willian has bagged himself five goals so far this term, all of which have come from dead ball situations, with his latest coming on Wednesday night in the Champions League victory over Dynamo Kiev.
And not only did his free kick this week earn Chelsea a much needed victory, it also possibly confirmed him as the best free ice maestro in the world right now.

Willian has more free kick goals this season than Cristiano Ronaldo in the last two years, and only two less than Messi.
