Odion Ighalo added to an early Nathan Ake strike with two more goals, the second of which came on 85 minutes after a delightful move which ripped Liverpool apart.
Ighalo started the move before Troy Deeney spread the play for Almen Abdi to deliver a wicked cross from which the Nigerian striker sealed the Hornets a fourth straight win.
What is so impressive is how quickly Watford moved the ball, and Liverpool could not keep up. Their defence is all over the place by the time Ighalo turned his header past Adam Bogdan.
The 26-year-old now has 12 top-flight goals for the season, fewer only than prolific Leicester City pair Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez and Everton frontman Romelu Lukaku.
His partnership with Deeney has been so important to Watford dapting quickly to the Premier League. They are now seventh, four points clear of Liverpool and only one adrift of the top four.
