‘Little Ibrahimovic’: Transfer rivals quoted €10m for Tottenham target

French giants Olympique de Marseille are understood to have been quoted €10m for Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Wissam Ben Yedder.

The Toulouse FC forward—who has been dubbed ‘Little Ibrahimovic’—was linked with a move to the Stade Velodrome during the summer, only for OM to fail in their attempts to sign him.

In recent months, the attacker has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane, with talkSPORT acknowledging that Spurs were keen on signing the forward as offensive cover and to provide competition in various attacking positions during the January transfer window.

The club have already shown a proclivity for working in the French market when they signed Olympique Lyonnais forward Clinton N’Jie—now injured—during the summer.

If Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Ben Yedder to Spurs this January, they will need to part with €10m.

Speaking to the media ahead of Marseille’s French Cup match with Caen, the club’s coach Michel has revealed that that’s the fee the Southern giants would need to spent to bring the versatile forward to the Stade Velodrome.

“What’s he called? Ben Yedder?” the manager began, somewhat perplexingly, as per Le 10 Sport.

“I have no information. It seems like he will cost €10m, but I [only] talk about players I possess.”
