Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo became very close at Real Madrid. The German playmaker regularly provided the former Manchester United hero with stunning service, thanks to his delicate touches and perfectly-weighted balls in the final third.

Ronaldo is the third-favorite to win the 2015 Ballon d’Or, which is expected to go to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi – again!

But Ozil doesn’t think either of the legendary La Liga figures should be crowned as European Footballer of the Year.

Ozil doesn’t believe that second-favourite Neymar should get it either.

During this week’s #AskOzil question and answer session on Twitter, Arsenal’s chief assister was asked to predict the winner of the 2015 Ballon d’Or, which will be announced at a posh FIFA party on Monday.

His answer scored a whopping 8.5 on the Banter Scale! But, sadly, Mathieu Flamini was not nominated on this occasion.

Ozil and Flamini are good mates off the pitch.

They even take topless selfies while finger-scissoring each other. That’s real friendship!

Seven wins in a row! …. and so happy! Simply a great day for the whole #Arsenal family! #YaGunnersYa #AFCvLFC
