Coupled with Vardy getting back in amongst the goals to take his tally for the season to 18 in the league, the Foxes will hope that they can cause yet another upset when they face Man City on Saturday.
With speculation that the frontman is set to sign a new deal with the club, as reported by Sky Sports, he impressed in front of England manager Roy Hodgson and certainly proved that he is worth an improved deal with a stunning effort from 25 yards out as he fired an effort over Simon Mignolet.
While his second was also a smart finish, it wasn’t what Jurgen Klopp wanted to see from his players as they are now nine points adrift of the top four and six behind Manchester United in fifth.
