Zlatan Ibrahimovic has four goals in three games for Manchester United so far this season, and he has welcomed ‘new haters’ to give him grief.
The Swede was on the mark in the Community Shield win over Leicester City, before scoring on his Premier League debut against Bournemouth a week later.
Further, he bagged two in the win over Southampton last Friday night, as he continues to dismiss talk that he wouldn’t be a success in England.
The 34-year-old’s influence is already being felt at Old Trafford, and always one to enjoy being an antagonist and get people talking, he’s sent a message to his haters.
Despite his track record of winning trophies in every country he’s played in throughout his career coupled with the individual accolades that he has received, doubts persist over Ibrahimovic’s ability.
Having silenced his detractors in Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France, he’s gone about doing the same in England where the noise has been a little louder than elsewhere.
Time will tell as to whether or not he can continuously deliver for United, but the early signs are good and he will hope that he can carry on in the same form and silence his critics once and for all.
