Zlatan Ibrahimovic enjoyed two very productive seasons at AC Milan, and it’s no secret that he still holds the club close to his heart.

The Swede opted to move to Manchester United this summer, but a return to the Rossoneri had been touted as he considered a move back to the San Siro.

Jose Mourinho, a desire to win in a different country and financial reasons ultimately saw him choose Manchester, but that hasn’t stopped him from showing his admiration for Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi.

While the former Italian PM is currently in the process of selling the club, with a Chinese consortium depositing a further €85m on Tuesday as part of an agreement which will see them complete a takeover by the end of the year, Ibrahimovic has taken time out to pay tribute to Berlusconi.

Time will tell as to whether or not the 34-year-old returns to Milan further down the line whether as a player or otherwise, as there’s no doubting his affection for the club after a string of comments in recent years insisting that he will remember his time with the Rossoneri fondly.
