Tottenham’s star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has urged his side to bounce back from their mid-week defeat at the hands of Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.
The France international stated that Tottenham cannot call themselves a ‘big team’ if they lose back-to-back games according to the Mirror.
Spurs suffered a 2-1 loss on Wednesday night to the Ligue 1 giants, leaving them bottom of Group E.
“I have got a bit of experience now in football,” Lloris was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“And we used to say that a big team doesn’t lose twice in a row.
“That is important – so it is important that we bounce back.”
Tottenham take on an out-of-form Sunderland today who are yet to record a victory under their new manager David Moyes.
The Black Cats have picked up just one point in four games and go into todays fixture with a number of key injuries.
Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will be happy to recall Mousa Dembele to the squad after the Belgium international served a six-match ban for a gouge on Chelsea’s Diego Costa towards the end of last season.
