West Ham preparing to part ways with £6M misfit who has suffered defeat in five of his six Premier League appearances

West Ham are eager to part ways with summer signing Arthur Masuaku, according to Squawka.

Masuaku arrived at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, for what Squawka believe to be a fee of £6 million. That seemed a small price to pay for a left-back who at the tender age of 23-years-old, was only going to continue to develop and improve.

However, not all has been rosy for Masuaku since he joined the Hammers. The Frenchman has made just six Premier League appearances, and throughout his 526 minutes on the field of play, serious question marks have been raised as to whether he is cut out to play at this level.

If Squawka are to be believed, West Ham have similar concerns. Squawka believe that Olympiacos, Masuaku’s former side, have a first refusal option on him if he were to leave East London. However, they note that the Greek giants are not willing to pay anything like the £6 million they received for him in the summer.
