After making a somewhat slow start to their summer transfer window, it finally looks like Barcelona are getting their backsides in gear as they look to improve their squad ahead of next season.

The club have already announced the signings of Clement Lenglet and Arthur from Sevilla and Gremio respectively.

And now, according to journalist Bruno Andrade, it looks like the Blaugrana are set to announce another exciting signing this summer in the form of Brazilian winger Malcom.

The journalist, who writes for Goal, states that a deal for the player is set to be announced by the club in the ‘next few hours’, with Malcom setting the club back a total of €41M.

This will be great news for Blaugrana fans everywhere, as it finally looks like the club have signed some healthy competition for Ousmane Dembele.

Malcom was fantastic for Bordeaux last season, with the player scoring 12 and assisting seven in Ligue 1 last season, a record that saw a number of fans take note of his performances and ability.

Barcelona signing Malcom should see them get the best out of both him and Dembele this season, with both surely set to push each other to try and claim a first team place in Ernesto Valverde’s starting line-up.

€41M seems like a bargain for a player of Malcom ability, and seeing as the winger is just 21 years old, this one definitely looks like the club are planning for the future with this one.
