‘He collided with the post’ – Thomas Tuchel delivers Harry Kane injury update

Harry Kane was subbed off during his side’s win on Saturday after suffering what seemed like an ankle injury.

The English striker has been in relentless goal-scoring form since making the move from North London to Bayern Munich in the summer.

Kane smashed yet another record on Saturday when he scored his 31st goal of the season during his side’s 5-2 win against Darmstadt, making him the first Bundesliga player to hit this number during their debut season.

But the 30-year-old was not able to see out the entirety of the game as he was subbed off in the 82nd minute after suffering what seemed like an ankle injury.

Kane crashed into the post and twisted his left ankle, with manager Thomas Tuchel revealing that there is still no diagnosis.

‘He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a bit – he had his ankle iced.’ He said via the Metro.

‘There’s still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad.’

Kane himself revealed that it is ‘a little bit painful’ after the match with concerns about his fitness for the upcoming international break.

With the Bundesliga now out of sight, Bayern will be hoping that it is nothing too serious as they are set to face off against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals next month.
