Foxes hope to welcome in Argentine international.
Newly promoted side Leicester City are close to completing a hugely ambitious move to sign former Inter Milan star Esteban Cambiasso according to the Daily Mirror.
The King Power stadium side are edging towards snapping up the 34 year old free agent with a two year deal in the pipeline and the addition of some much needed top level experience could well aid the club’s push to retain their Premier League status.
Boss Nigel Pearson would do well to bring in Cambiasso as his side enjoy a return to the English top tier and the Argentine international certainly still has the ability to make an impact at the highest level.
Cambiasso’s association with Inter Milan came to an end this summer after the former Real Madrid man had given the San Siro side a decade of solid service.
The tough tackler racked up 315 Serie A appearances and could well be tempted by the chance to try his hand in the Premier League.
The fact that Cambiasso made 32 starts in domestic league action last term certainly suggests that despite his age the midfield battler has plenty in the tank.
