The 34-year-old, who was capped 58 times by Wales at senior international level between 2001 and 2010, was born near Solva, in Haverfordwest.

He once earned £30,000 per week, but he must now pay to play, in the form of £3 weekly subs.

Davies played for Solva as a child, before moving to Peterborough United, via Wrexham.

He has not played professionally since being released by Fulham at the end of the 2012-13 season.

Solva compete in the Pembrokeshire League.

Judging by their recent results, they appear to be a team that like to attack.

They drew 2-2 with Haverfordwest on Saturday, two days after their second team beat Fishguard Sports AFC 5-4.
