Midfield ace speaks to a former legend about the future.
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson spoke to former Reds legend Steve McManaman this week about what is expected of him when he takes the captain’s armband from Steven Gerrard this summer.
Henderson has developed and grown into a pivotal player for Liverpool since signing from Sunderland as a young lad earmarked as one to watch, to the point that he’s now been elevated to vice-captain status.
Highlighting what an honour it is to be spoken of in such a way, the young England star, and though he remained respectful to his outgoing skipper, he quietly admitted how much he would love to take on the role when the time comes.
The former Sunderland man also lifted the lid on how he thought the current season was progressing, saying that the squad were still hoping to secure a top four finish.
