Bayern join chase for in-demand playmaker.
Bayern Munich could be interested in signing Wolfsburg star and former Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, according to Goal.com.
The Belgian international has really impressed in the Bundesliga this season, contributing a superb six goals and 12 assists in 23 games in all competitions so far.
Despite not making the grade whilst at Chelsea, De Bruyne’s form since he left Stamford Bridge has seen him become hot property, with Arsenal recently linked as admirers of the 23-year-old.
Still, the Gunners may now face a struggle to land De Bruyne, whose silky style of play could make him an ideal signing for Pep Guardiola’s side, who have been a dominant force in Germany and in Europe in recent years.
Wolfsburg admit they may struggle to keep hold of their star player, with sporting director Klaus Allofs saying he has the potential to play for a team like Bayern if they did step up their interest.
“We might have to let go of certain players,” Allofs is quoted as saying.
“Of course, Kevin has the potential to play for Bayern Munich. But he also needs the right conditions in order to do shine and to be given the right role.”
