The Brazilian has signed a short term contract, after he left Qatari side Al-Gharafa in January, with the 33-year-old likely to act as a replacement for the injured Andy Carroll until the end of the season.

The Hammers will be Nene’s 11th club in a career spanning the last 16 years and is probably best known for his time at Ligue 1 champions PSG, where he finished as top scorer in 2011/12 with 21 goals in 35 appearances.
