Brazilian media are reporting that Brazil and Mexico are on the verge of announcing a pre-Copa America friendly at Palmeiras’ home stadium, the Palestra Italia Arena (Allianz Parque) in Sao Paulo.

The game would reportedly take place on 7th June, with the South American showpiece event starting in Chile four days later on 11th June.

Brazil are in Group C along with Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela, while Mexico are in Group A with Chile, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
