England international James Milner has also got in on the act, scoring a header from an Aguero corner. These goals have consigned the Hoops to relegation, with their nine point gap from 17th placed Newcastle United too much to bridge with only two games left in the season.

The Rs’ defence has been awful for the whole game, with the Argentine terrorising centre-back Richard Dunne especially. The scoreline has now become embarrassing for the Loftus Road outfit, and manager Chris Ramsey will surely be dreading having to watch his team totally capitulate.

The result will be good news for Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini though, with it possibly alleviating some of the pressure on him after a non existent Premier League title challenge.

Could it get worse for the Hoops?
