De Bruyne’s agent has confirmed that all three clubs have made contact with his client, but latest reports from the Daily Star claim that Manchester City are leading the chase.

The Citizens are rumoured to be closing in on a stunning £35m deal that will see the young attacking midfielder return to the Premier League.

The former Chelsea attacker left Stamford Bridge in January 2014, and has gone on to become one of the most exciting playmakers in Europe. This season the 23-year-old has netted 15 goals and registered a staggering 24 assists in all competitions.

His transfer to the Etihad could mark the end of striker Steven Jovetic’s future career with Manuel Pellegrini’s side, as the Sky Blues are looking to offload the forward to fund a move for the Belgian.

Inter Milan are reportedly set to make an offer for Jovetic.

The signing of De Bruyne is set to be City’s first signing of the summer transfer window, and he could be followed by Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling, as the club look to reclaim their title as Premier League champions.
