Louis van Gaal looks likely to lose David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer and the Old Trafford boss has earmarked a move for Jasper Cillessen to replace the Spaniard.

Cillessen was van Gaal’s starting keeper when he was in charge of the Dutch national team at the 2014 World Cup finals and clearly rates the 26 year old highly.

Having seen his Ajax side surrender their Eredivisie title to arch rivals PSV Eindhoven it’s entirely likely Jasper Cillessen would be open to a high-profile move to Man United.

Van Gaal has already secured the signing of one Dutch international this summer, winger Memphis Depay, and we wouldn’t bet against the Man United manager nabbing a second.
