Stamford Bridge side keen on Spanish international.

Chelsea continue to pursue Barcelona attacker Pedro and the Daily Mirror claim the Premier League title holders have offered the Nou Camp star a four year contract.

Arsenal have previously been linked with a move for the 27-year-old (via the Independent) and the Spanish international has admitted that offers for his services have been registered.

“It’s true I have received important offers but don’t want to say more out of respect for my club.

“My situation is complicated because I want to play a lot of minutes but that is becoming very difficult at Barcelona.” Pedro added.

Chelsea are ready to pay £20m for Pedro (via the Daily Mirror) and the versatile forward could certainly add further strength in depth to the Blues attack.

The Daily Mirror claim Chelsea will look to complete the deal this week ahead of their pre-season tour of the US.

Pedro was handed 15 La Liga starts in 2014/15 and the arrival of Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid is only likely to further restrict the Tenerife born player’s involvement in the Barcelona first-team set-up.

Brazilian wide-man Willian was Jose Mourinho’s first choice on the right hand side of the Chelsea attack and a move for Pedro would certainly represent something of an improvement in that role.

Willian contributed just two goals and three assists in 36 Premier League appearances last term.

Chelsea have seen Man United and Liverpool spend big this summer but have themselves made only minor moves in the transfer market with the West London side signing Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic and brought in the aforementioned Falcao on a loan deal.

Mourinho saw his side ease to a Premier League title in 2014/15 but would be well advised to not rest on his laurels given the big moves being made by Chelsea’s Premier League rivals.
