Manchester United supporters have been reacting to the news that Brazilian defender Rafael has become the latest player to depart the club this summer.
The right-back completed his move to last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up Olympique Lyonnias on Monday evening and follows Robin van Persie and Nani through the exit door at Old Trafford door in the past month.
The 25-year-old made his debut for the Red Devils during the 2008-09 campaign and went on to make over 100 league appearances for the club and won the Premier League title on three occasions under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, he failed to impress current boss Louis van Gaal last season as he made just 10 Premier League appearances, which was mainly down to numerous injury problems and the arrival of Italian international defender Matteo Darmian earlier in the summer signalled Rafael’s time in Manchester had come to a close.

Good to see the players giving Rafael the respect he deserves, wish the manager was the same. Disgrace he never went on tour.
