Arsenal transfer target & ex-Chelsea defender admit they don’t want to return to PSG after Paris terrorist attacks

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has admitted that he is concerned about returning to his club following Friday evening’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

The world was left stunned as three groups of Islamic State terrorists attacked various sites across the French capital at the beginning of the weekend, during an international match between France and Germany at the Stade de France.

129 fatalities have been confirmed, with many others injured, although Les Bleus’ friendly with England on Tuesday evening in Wembley will go ahead.

What is less clear is the immediate future of French domestic football, and Cavani—echoing comments made by his teammate David Luiz—has admitted that he is not keen on returning to action for PSG.

This was revealed by Alvaro Gonzalez, who is currently on international duty with Cavani and the Uruguay national football team.

“This is horrible, for football and for the city,” said Gonzalez, who plays for Mexican side Atlas, speaking to L’Equipe [as per Daily Mail].

“They spoke of the fact that David Luiz would not return to Paris and Edinson said he would rather not have to go either.”

David Luiz, as also reported by the English source, has admitted that concerns about his family’s welfare have prompted him to rethink whether he returns to the French capital after the international break.

“I have my girlfriend and some family and friends in Paris,’ the centre-back began. “They were all very sad and scared. I don’t know what I’m going to do and whether I will head back [to Paris].”
