The Citizens are like reeling from their devastating 4-1 home loss to Liverpool this past weekend. Though the return of Sergio Aguero was vital to Man City getting the one goal, it wasn’t nearly enough to overcome the absence of defensive leader Vincent Kompany and midfield leader David Silva.

Until such time as both of those superstars return to full strength with the first-team, Manchester City will inevitably struggle at times.

Since have already qualified for the knockout round in the Champions League thanks to a six-point lead over third-place Sevilla (having beaten the La Liga giants twice), Manuel Pellegrini can afford to rest certain stars as he sees fit against a foe that’s already beaten him already: Juventus.
