Liverpool in three-way battle to sign Chelsea under-21 starlet Ola Aina

Liverpool are said to be in the middle of a three-way tug-of-war for the signature of Chelsea youngster Ola Aina, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 19-year-old has broken into the England under-21 setup this season, and the Mirror believe that he is also being watched by European giants Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.

Interest in the player is expected to ramp up in the coming months, as his current deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season (via Mirror).

Napoli, who presently have fellow Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah on loan, made a similar move for Aina over the summer, only for The Blues to turn down their advances to keep him in west London (via Mirror).

With his contract coming to an end, The Mirror reports that both Dortmund and Napoli are able to sign the player on a pre-contract agreement in the new year, though Liverpool will be forced to wait until the summer.

Aina was present during Chelsea’s pre-season campaign, but has yet to make a first team appearance for the club in the Premier League.
