Diego Costa opened the scoring for Chelsea on Saturday against Watford as the Pensioners’ continued their post-Jose Mourinho exit.
The Blues have been much improved since the Portuguese coach was relieved of his duties before Christmas, and after seeing off Sunderland, they have started strongly against high-flying Watford.
The Hornets have shone in the division this season since returning to the top flight, and saw off Liverpool in convincing fashion last weekend—winning 3-0—to establish themselves in the top half of the table.
However, they fell behind against Chelsea after only 32 minutes when Diego Costa—snarling and gnashing—beat the impressive Heurelho Gomes.

While the goal comes as a vital fillip for Chelsea, it may also see the beginning of something of a revival for the Spanish forward.
Booed by the fans following Mourinho’s departure [The Guardian], Costa has been linked with the exit door, but may be handed a reprieve should his performances improve [Standard].
