Chelsea identify Eden Hazard replacement from Ligue 1 giants

Though Eden Hazard’s time at Stamford Bridge appears to be coming to an end, the Chelsea higher-ups believe Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette could be the man to replace him.

According to the Metro, Chelsea have expressed interest in the 24-year-old central striker and the interest appears to be mutual. Lacazette indicated last week that he was interested in making a move to the Premier League – though he plans to stay with Lyon until the end of the season.

Lacazette was one of Europe’s top goalscorers last year, scoring 27 league goals and 31 total goals in the 2014-15 season, earning Ligue 1 MVP, Player of the Year and Top Goal Scorer honors in the process.

The list of Premier League players with more goals than Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard grows longer by the week. Having failed to score a single goal all year, Hazard now trails four defender teammates, Loic Remy and even the seldom-used Radamel Falcao in goals scored for the Blues this season.
