Chelsea ready to sell £18m midfielder to fund late January business

Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Ramires before the end of the January transfer window.

The Sun claims that the Blues will listen to offers for the Brazilian in the region of £18m.

European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are both said to be interested.

Offloading Ramires would allow Chelsea to fund a couple of late moves before the February 1st deadline.

The surrendering Premier League champions could do with a striker and a central defender, and have been linked with Brazilian pair Alex Teixeira and Alexandre Pato as well as John Stones.

Any return for Everton defender Stones – Chelsea apparently had three bids rejected for him last summer – would surly wait until the end of the season, but both Teixeira and Pato appear up for grabs.

Ramires signed a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge in October, but has only made seven Premier League starts this season and none of those have come since Guus Hiddink’s arrival.

The 28-year-old joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2010 and has won every major club honour with the Londoners, including last season’s Premier League title and the 2012-13 Champions League.
