Liverpool ready to hijack Arsenal’s £13.8m move for in-demand Spanish goal machine

Liverpool are reportedly ready to stump Arsenal to the signature of Celta Vigo forward Nolito by making a £13.8m move of their own, according to talkSPORT.

Arsenal and Barcelona had both been circling for his signature in recent months, but the La Liga champions are keen to wait until the end of the season before putting their hands in their pockets.

However, current club Celta are keen to cash in on him now and take advantage of his fine form, and would be willing to sell to whoever can stump up the cash before Monday’s deadline.

Having already bagged eight goals in 15 appearances this season, the 29-year-old has helped the Galician side into a good position to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Nolito plays in a similar position to that of fellow target Alex Teixeira, and with that move seemingly hitting the rocks, the report states that the Reds have lined up the Spaniard as a possible alternative.
