John Terry reveals ‘heartbreaking’ breakdown with Chelsea boardroom

Chelsea captain John Terry has revealed that he has had no contact with the club over a possible new deal, The Sun reports.

The 35-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and revealed last week that he is yet to be offered an extension to keep him there for another year.

The news shocked a horrified Chelsea fan base, and after their protestations and widespread reports, Terry has revealed that nothing has changed yet despite his insistence that he wants to stay put.

“It is a difficult one. The club is the most important thing,” said Terry.

“There is no communication between myself and the club at the minute.

“I said what I had to say, that was how it was.

“I made it very clear I wanted to stay.”
