PSG midfielder reveals the key to dealing with Man City’s wealth of offensive options

Speaking in light of Paris Saint-Germain‘s 4-1 victory over OGC Nice this weekend, Thiago Motta has outlined how his side will deal with Manchester City‘s star men in the Champions League this week.

While the capital club cruised past Nice, as they continue their rampant romp through their fellow sides in Ligue 1, having already won the title, they will face a much sterner test this week when they go head to head with Manchester City.

While PSG’s domestic campaign is effectively over, having won the league title in March, Manchester City will also surely be placing more of their focus on their Champions League campaign, having fallen out of the championship picture in the Premier League.

Speaking ahead of the match, Motta has named the two Man City players that he felt were the most dangerous, and outlined how the Parisian giants would look to negotiate the Citizens’ offensive threat.

“They have a lot of players,” Motta began, in quotes as relayed by Orange, when asked which City player was the most dangerous. “They have [David] Silva, [Sergio] Aguero, if we give them the ball, we will suffer.

“The key will be to defend well,” he continued. “Everyone. And when we have the ball, we must be able to control the game like we did against Chelsea.

“They’re good with the ball, but without the ball, it’s harder. They’re like us,” he confirmed. “When we don’t have the ball, we suffer.”
