Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp orders scouting mission on talented Borussia Dortmund midfielder

Jurgen Klopp has personally requested Liverpool scouts to monitor one of the most promising young players at former club Borussia Dortmund, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail claims that Klopp rates Christian Pulisic as one of the best talents in Europe, and has added the 17-year-old midfielder to his list of long-term transfer targets.

The Daily Mail adds that the Reds manager was a big believer in Pulisic’s potential when at Dortmund, but is unlikely to make a move for the teenager at the end of this season.

Pulisic has broken into an extremely strong Dortmund first team this campaign, making 10 appearances in total and scoring his first Bundesliga goal against Hamburg last weekend.

Handed his debut cap by the USA senior side in March, Pulisic will reportedly have the eyes of Anfield on him as he aims to continue his development with Dortmund next season.

Liverpool and Dortmund recently contested one of the most dramatic Europa League ties of all time, as the Reds came from 4-2 down on aggregate to win the quarter-final encounter.
