Alan Pardew says he would accept £60m Barcelona bid for Crystal Palace top boy after rejecting Tottenham offer

On what planet will Wilfried Zaha ever be worth £60m? Imagine how many club-branded penis pouches would have to be sold to make that a good deal…

Alan Pardew has had some pretty laughable stuff to say about Wilfried Zaha.

The former Manchester United winger was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but Crystal Palace rejected a bid from White Hart Lane.

According to The Guardian, that Spurs bid was worth just £12m initially.

Palace manager Pardew clearly thinks Zaha is worth WAY more than £12m.

In fact, he seems to be valuing the 23-year-old at around five times that figure.

Furthermore, he has mentioned Barcelona as a hypothetical suitor.

“This club took him back from Man United when things weren’t going so well and put their money where their mouth is to bring him back,” Pardew told the Croydon Advertiser.

“He’s done great for me, but I think there’s improvement in him. I do think he’s got some improvements to make to be a top player.

“I think we’re a good platform for him to do that in the Premier League. I have tried to say to him I want him to be a massive success here.

“If Spurs blew us out of the water or Man City offered £50 million and it was Champions League football, okay, it’s because you’re the finished product.

“This is what Wilf’s ambition should be, but he needs to address his goals and assists.

“If a club came in with, say, £50-£60 million – let’s say a Manchester City, Barcelona or Real Madrid, and he’s got 10 goals and nine assists – as his manager at Crystal Palace I can’t really stand in his way.”

Following the sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton, Zaha is probably Palace’s top boy now.

And the Eagles could really do with keeping hold of him, especially as they have found goals so hard to come by this season.

However, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man City? Behave yourself, Alan!
