It seems like Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is in no mood to forget Watford striker Troy Deeney’s dig at the Gunners last month.
As seen in the video below, Deeney took the opportunity to mock, or at the very least highlight a key weakness in the Arsenal team, after Watford had secured a win over Arsene Wenger’s side by suggesting that they ‘lacked cojones’.
In their defence, they’ve shown a lot of character and heart since that defeat as a good run of form has pushed them up into fourth place, and Bellerin had a retort to Deeney’s comments after their last-gasp win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

It’s an important win for Arsenal as while they impressed everyone with the manner in which they saw off Tottenham in the north London derby over a week ago, they were able to grind out a win against Burnley and keep their good form going.
In turn, Wenger will hope that they can now maintain this level of form in order to get themselves firmly back into the top four conversation and to continue to silence their critics and detractors, even if they are rival Premier League players.
Although many were fairly shocked by his comments at the time having gone on live on BT Sport to share his thoughts, perhaps Deeney has done them a favour in the end…
