Real Madrid have reportedly decided to sell Manchester United transfer target Marco Asensio after his disappointing form for the club this season.
According to Don Balon, Florentino Perez is prepared to cash in on the young Spaniard with the hope of making a big profit on his sale.
The report claims Asensio cost around £4million to sign earlier in his career when he was a relative unknown, but he would surely fetch considerably more than that now.
Don Balon even linked him with Manchester United for as much as £177million earlier this season, though his value may well have gone down since then due to his lack of regular first-team action.
Meanwhile, Diario Gol claim he will look for a move away from Real this summer anyway as a deal to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea looks on the cards.
If that were to happen, Diario Gol also claim that former Madrid man Alvaro Morata would want his old team-mate to follow him to Stamford Bridge.
It certainly seems likely that Los Blancos would not be short of suitors for the talented 22-year-old, who looked one of Europe’s most exciting talents when he burst onto the scene in 2017.
