Chelsea have demanded that Real Madrid include Spanish talent Marco Asensio in a deal for their star man Eden Hazard.
This is as per Don Balon, who state that Alvaro Morata’s words about the midfielder have seen the club view him as one of their top targets this summer, and that Asensio himself is willing to leave the Spanish giants.
The same report also states that Florentino Perez doesn’t want to see Asensio leave the club this summer as he views him as a big part of the club’s future, something that could see Hazard’s proposed move to the club drag out a fair bit.
Don Balon have stated in the past that Los Blancos value Asensio at £132M (€150M), a price that accurately reflects the ability and potential the player has in his locker.
With Cristiano Ronaldo now gone, Real will surely be after someone who can fill the void that is to be left by the forward following his move to Juventus.
Although Hazard can definitely help with that, there’s no reason why youngster Asensio can’t step up to the plate and be the Ronaldo replacement Real need.
The Spanish international proved he could do it for the Spanish giants this season just gone, as he helped them claim a record third Champions League title in a row.
Chelsea bringing in Asensio for Hazard could be a smart move from the Blues, as it would see them bag a replacement for the Belgian without all the hassle.
