Poor Ashley Young – just as he really develops into a Manchester United stalwart after an up-and-down career at Old Trafford, fans aren’t really that interested in his new contract.
The Red Devils veteran’s new deal has just been announced via the club’s official Twitter page, but many of the responses are lukewarm at best, while a lot of fans just want to know what’s going on with another player…David de Gea.

Young has been a reliable squad player for United in recent times, filling in well at either left-back or right-back after a career spent mostly on the wing or attacking midfield.
Still, he’s no De Gea, and United fans are clearly a little worried about the lack of updates on the Spanish shot-stopper.
The Daily Mirror recently claimed the 28-year-old’s wage demands could be holding things up, and MUFC will urgently need to get this done as soon as possible as he’ll be in the final year of his contract next season.
No wonder this lot are a bit concerned…
Can I have @D_DeGea sorted next please @ManUtd https://t.co/SW6lhnBTHx
