The 12 best signings by PL clubs this summer, including Man United, Arsenal & Chelsea new-boys

Gabriel Jesus

A real statement signing by Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus was an underrated talent at Man City and he’s started brightly in pre-season for the Gunners. The Brazil international could perhaps do with another signing coming in alongside him up front, but he also has what it takes to finally give Mikel Arteta a long-term successor to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Christian Eriksen

A superb signing on a free, Christian Eriksen has joined Manchester United after leaving Brentford. One imagines a long list of clubs would have been keen to snap up the Denmark international, so this is fine business by the Red Devils to strengthen a problem area and give them something a bit different in the attacking midfield department.

Kalidou Koulibaly

A world class defender for many years in Serie A, it will be intriguing to see Kalidou Koulibaly in England at last. The Senegal international has been linked with big six sides on several occasions, but is now finally in the Premier League with Chelsea, where he looks ideal to replace Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Richarlison

Tottenham have had a strong summer, and this statement signing of Richarlison might just be the best of the lot to come in so far. The Brazilian is an electric talent and a big character, who’s shown what he can do in his time at Everton. Spurs will be quite the force with Richarlison up front alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
