Liverpool, Arsenal join the race to sign 25-year-old Bundesliga ace

Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

As per AS (h/t SportWitness), Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old French international forward and they will face competition from Atletico Madrid for his signature.

Thuram will be a free agent in the summer and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

The 25-year-old has 13 goals across all competitions this season and he could prove to be a top-class addition to most teams. Signing a player of his calibre on a free transfer would be quite a coup.

Apparently, he was available for a fee of around €10-12 million last month.

Thuram has the technical and physical attributes to adapt to English football and the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool could certainly use someone like him.

Harry Kane could use a goalscoring partner and Arsenal are overly reliant on Gabriel Jesus. Both teams need to add more depth to their side.

Meanwhile, Liverpool could lose Roberto Firmino soon and Darwin Nunez has not hit the ground running. Jurgen Klopp needs another reliable goalscorer and Thuram certainly fits the profile.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs, and Liverpool can secure Champions League qualification now. They might not be able to attract a player of his profile without the lure of Champions League football next season.

Thuram can play as a winger as well and his versatility will be an added bonus for any side he joins.
