Eintracht won’t accept a normal fee for Randal Kolo Muani. They still hope to keep him until Euro 2024 and sell him after that competition; but fee close to €100m could help to change their mind.
Nothing is advanced with Manchester United at this stage; their investment on new striker will be clear later this summer.
Napoli
I’ve been asked again about Victor Osimhen following further rumours, but as I keep saying since January, nothing will be decided now for Osimhen. It’s not an April deal, probably not even May. There’s not even a price tag decided at this stage.
It’s been claimed that Manchester United are in pole position and that Chelsea are out of the running, but nothing is decided yet and the race is absolutely open.
Palmeiras
Palmeiras gem Estevao has signed a long term deal valid until June 2026. There’s a release clause worth €60m into his contract. There has been recent interest from PSG, who offered €58m for Endrick and €35m for Estevao in November — Palmeiras rejected. Born in 2007, Estevao nickname in Brazil is… Messinho.
PSG
Lionel Messi has spent some days in Barcelona – we know that he and his family love the city. He was having dinner with two former teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, so what happened? Both players are hoping for Messi to return and hope that they can then also continue at Barcelona. They have been speaking to Messi many times to tell him to come back. Busquets has important offers from Inter Miami and Al Nassr, but he wants to extend his contract at Barca, partly because he feels there is a concrete chance for Messi to return to the club. Financial Fair Play will be crucial before Barca can make an official bid.
Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti: “I like Marco Asensio a lot — it’s normal many clubs like him, but I hope he will stay here with us at Real Madrid. Hazard? We didn’t speak a lot. I don’t ask the players to come and speak to me, but if they need or want… I’m here.”
Sunderland
I can reveal that Sunderland appreciate Francesco Farioli as new head coach for the next season, he’s on top of their list. Farioli is considered a highly talented coach — he’s only 34 years old and clubs in Italy, Portugal [including Braga], England and Turkey have approached him.
Tottenham
Tottenham have sacked interim coach Cristian Stellini after the 6-1 defeat against Newcastle on Sunday. Antonio Conte’s former assistant has left the club and Ryan Mason is now in place as the new interim manager until the end of the season.
Daniel Levy: “Sunday’s performance vs Newcastle was wholly unacceptable. It was devastating to see. We can look at many reasons why it happened. Whilst myself, Board, coaches, players must all take collective responsibility, ultimately the responsibility is mine.”
Emerson Royal’s father said “we believe it’s time for him to join team that fights for titles. I think he fits a giant like Real Madrid.”
