Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on the defender Vanderson ahead of the summer transfer window.

A report from RMC Sport claims that the Red Devils are positioning themselves to sign the 21-year-old Brazilian full-back this summer. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked to the move away from Old Trafford and the Brazilian could be his replacement at Old Trafford next season.

Manchester United have been linked with players like Jeremie Frimpong as well. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can agree on a fee with Monaco for the 21-year-old South American defender.

Vanderson has one goal and four assists to his name across all competitions and he could add a new dimension to the Manchester United attack going forward. He will be expected to compete with Diogo Dalot for the starting spot next year.

The 21-year-old is still quite young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. Erik ten Hag has a proven track record of improving young players and he could help the Brazilian defender fulfil his potential at Old Trafford.

Vanderson has been impressive for Monaco

Vanderson can operate as a right-back as well as a wing-back. He has the technical ability, flair and pace to play as a winger as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Red Devils if they manage to secure his services.

The defender has a contract with Monaco until the summer of 2027 and he is likely to cost a substantial amount of money this summer. Monaco will not want to lose a prodigious young talent at a bargain.
